There are numerous political parties in the U.S. but all you ever hear about are Democrats and Republicans. Both of these major parties are funded by, and pander to, the wealthy, the corporations and the paid professional lobbyists. With the exception of a few side issues, they are the same thing. Elected officials do not represent the voters.

The U.S. is a one-party oligarchy. Who do you think will get top priority with this system of government? Certainly not the middle class or low-income people.

Yes they’re all full of shit and people buy into it like the Super Bowl. It’s time to revolt. I wasn’t looking for a minute, and all of a sudden rich whitey is telling us what to do. I don’t listen to rich whitey. I’m not gonna listen to any asshole that thinks it’s ok to play with American lives. He’s shitting on the people that need help the most! This isn’t America anymore. It’s now trump nation. I want out.

reply

You started out OK, but your posts have turned ugly and racist. This has gotten way too political - it needs to go over to the political forum.

reply

Sorry not meant to. Just passionate about my friends. It’s a lot more than just politics when talking about people you love. I don’t care what anyone’s political view is. It’s my duty to have a voice for my friends, especially when they’re being treated like they don’t matter. I want no part of the political board. I want a fucking revolution.

reply

Ok - giving you the benefit of the doubt - but when you start calling people "whitey" you lose all credibility.

And you don't think wanting a revolution is not political?

reply

No I was making fun of her. She felt that white people are the superior race. I think whitey was being nice. Is whitey racist? She called me a Christian, that’s way more offensive.

reply

Because Atlanta is where they put Hollywood 2.

reply

But IS this an Atlanta problem, or a problem limited to Georgia? Is there a place in the US where there's adequate testing? Is there a place where the poor have decent healthcare? Is there a place where business interests aren't campaigning to open everything up, just as infection rates are peaking?

I'm talking about general populations, of course. Anywhere the rich and powerful are concentrated, there's testing, healthcare, and safety.

reply

That’s my question. Why Georgia? People have been rapidly dying on lockdown. Not rapidly enough?
They are opening the state with the biggest population of black people. The people that have the highest chance of catching it, and can’t afford treatment when they do. They aren’t offering help or testing. Why would the government make a decision to open a state knowing the only thing that will happen is a lot more people will die. I have never been scared living in America before.
My state is still on lockdown and we have very few cases here. We have adequate testing and a low population. No one is dying.
Why would our government make a choice that’s bound to kill more Americans? I’m hoping they rethink this decision.
