Would you eat this burger?

Bill Gates did, and liked it!

I'd eat it.

I'd try it but i've tried the Boca Veggie Burgers and they are gross with a horrid texture

reply

I've had the regular veggie burgers too and, meh. You're right, the problem with them is mainly the texture. The guy who did this video complained about the same thing. But no such complaint about this burger!

I saw this video a few weeks ago and wondered where I could buy this stuff to try it. There were a few brands of it in the meat section apparently I'd just not noticed before, so I bought one and tried it.

Let me say this: if you want to try this out, don't bother with a brand named Pure Farmland. It's not terrible (damned with faint praise), but nowhere near as good as both brands the guy in the video (and Bill) tried. I'd try those two brands, but now am wary of any other. I thought they were all going to be pretty much the same.

Thanks, I'll try one next time my wife buys them, she likes them

Let me know what you thought and which brand she got. I'd have passed on this if I hadn't seen that video.

A McDonald's cheeseburger is "Plant based".

There's a bun, wheat, onions, lettuce, ketchup, pickles, mustard, and...

A thin slice of cheese and a thin meat patty.

Most of it is based on plants, so it is plant based.

Enjoy!

reply

The cow eats grass so the patty is plant based as well.

reply

Very good!

It's just plants translated into cow body!

Plant based!

pea protein??

reply

Pea protein is popular in bodybuilding due to some people having milk allergies or getting acne form the estrogen in whey, which is milk.

I have chocolate pea protein in my kitchen and it's not bad. You can't taste peas.

I used to by Carnivore Protein Powder. That is DRIED MEAT washed of all flavor with chocolate flavor added.

Occasionally, I'd be drinking it and suddenly the flavor of old liver would be in my mouth. It was extremely challenging!

But seriously, there's a lot of bullshit going on here.

On Netflix there was a fake documentary about this. I watched it and was like "what!" because it was obvious bullshit.

I later looked it up and it was made by James Cameron, thus Arnold, and James as just purchased a giant pea protein company and so the "doc" was in fact a commercial.

I have been bodybuilding for decades and know a good amount about nutrition. Also, I researched these new burgers and they have INSANE amounts of estrogen in them. Lifters are always talking about staying away from soy due to the estrogen in it.

The fake Arnold doc says that the estrogen in food doesn't affect estrogen levels in the body. However, for YEARS and YEARS, and still currently, doctors, based on studies promote eating these food for menopausal women. However the new "plant based" bullshit says the opposite and that it will in fact make men horny....which is some bullshit.

I think it's odd that burgers, typically a young male food, is being marketed when it has 18 MILLION times the estrogen of beef, as a food guys should eat. And, there's sexual propaganda about it and lies that it's harmless.

I would not eat this shit.

I will wait for lab grown meat, because it's try that due to the no killing aspect.

clones still have feelings?

i eat plant based burgers occasionally. they're certainly not health food, and i don't think it's brilliant to make them a regular part of your diet, but as a vegetarian i like having them as the occasional treat.

i am certainly optimistic for lab grown meat - i think that's a great innovation that may possibly do away with all kinds of animal suffering.

I don't know anything about lab grown meat and think I'm afraid to Google it 😄. But I'm ALL for doing away with animal suffering.
