Australia tour update - going home, completing a lap of the earth for the first time.

Sat in the United Airlines lounge after a 13 hour flight from Sydney (I got a good 7 hours sleep). Breezed through Immigration (dual nationality has its advantages). Just had a hot shower, so feeling fresh. Now drinking Sapporo like it’s going out of fashion.

Boarding in an hour for a 10 hour flight home. I’ll do a summary of Australia on the next thread.

Loved it!

I live in Newcastle. I'm curious as to what you did when you came here?

reply

We stayed at the Rydges, right on the promenade. There were some nice spots along there to drink and chill.

Happy travels Amigo
I'll eagerly await your next thread👍

What is your dual nationality? UK and ?

reply

UK and US.

reply

UK and US.

How are you part Yank?

Edit: So is my sister (UK/US), because she was born in London when my dad was on business (1961). I think the rules have since changed.

My uncle married a lovely American lady; he's lived and worked there most of his life, so my cousins are Yanks. I got it as a result of living with my uncle and aunt when I was growing up for a while. My understanding is that the US is one of the easier countries to get citizenship (despite all the bad news you hear nowadays).
