...from this hot, humid weather. With a couple of exceptions, it has been this way for the past three weeks. It's so draining. Just have to hold on until the weekend. My condolences to anyone still enduring the soggy heat.
Even my cellar is no relief. I have to run the dehumidifier down there. After two or three days of almost constant running, it heats up down there. Otherwise, I'd spend time down there cleaning and organizing.
Only in my car. I can deal with it by sitting in front of the fan, but it's impossible to get much done. I have an outdoor project that is aching for attention and it's making me a little crazy. I want to get it done!
I had one but got rid of it. Too noisy, sucked energy, and only cooled one room. Sleeping is not a problem - a fan works fine. It's not being able to do much of anything without sweating to death.
we've been going through much the same here - high temps, high humidity for a good 3 weeks.
we're going to get a slight break from it on the weekend - a break in this context meaning 23-24c (76-ish f) - before we apparently go back to low 30s c/high 80s f for the rest of next week.
some people enjoy this. the appeal is lost on me, but i guess i hope they appreciate it while it lasts.
I'm going to visit the wife's family in Florida this coming week...lucky me, it's going to be 90+ and humid in New York but low 80s and breezy in Florida...and I hear the bar is always open thereπ
How about an air conditioned movie theater? Or indoor ice skating rink?
Public places like libraries and buses used to be great because the a/c was cranked up. Then people complained about being cold and now the a/c is tepid.
One supermarket in my area is great though. I find excuses to shop there.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I need to hang around the house and keep an eye on the dog. If she wasn't here, I'd be out window-shopping for at least part of the day.
