The numbers keep adding up but no new replies shows in the list. I'm at 22 right now. I have to manually find every reply by going into each thread which i think i might have an answer in. It's not to horrible but it's messy.

That was happening with me and I just logged off and logged back in and it cleared the notifications. Also try going to your notifications page and refreshing.
