Not sure if you would class it as an official experiment but "Compliance" is about the man in the USA a few years back who rang a fast food place claiming to be a cop and got the manager to strip search a female employee.

People who believe anything are terrifying.

If the Village is the 2004 film than it is ok, worth watching just to see how long it takes you to work it out.

Compliance is ok but nothing too exciting. The background is more fascinating to me.

I am one of the rare fans of The Village. Maybe it was before it’s time. I think it would resonate more if it had come out now in the era of fake news and false fears.
