Nothing sics the dogs of anarchy on someone like showing a weak underbelly. BUT, it depends on the situation.
Lauer (subject of this thread) truly abused his power at NBC. I think the tip of the iceberg is all we've seen so far, and I think when the full truth comes out it's going to be quite shocking.
But Garrison Keillor (who I have little respect for for other unrelated reasons) seems to be caught up in this witch hunt. Supposedly, he hugged a woman in distress and she apparently had a backless dress on. Contact was made regardless how innocuous. Burn him at the stake!! share
Absolutely.... With this crowd style of punishment one of the first things that are sacrificed is context... Not only does that risk tarnishing the reputations of innocent people, but it also risks trivialising the crimes against victims... As everything is lumped together
