I dunno, even a broken clock is right twice day. So even the worst troll is theoretically capable of making a legitimate thoughtful post occasionally. Even Hitler was possibly nice to his dog or his girlfriend sometimes. Yeah I just Godwinnend it.
I don't think anyone is 100% bad, but people are judged on how they act the majority of the time, OR even if the bad actions are so bad that they outweigh any random good actions. I have some people on ignore based on just a few posts, they might have had some good posts too but they were not worth it. I'm willing to throw out the baby with the bathwater, if the bathwater is stinky enough.

Anyone can have a bad day sometimes, but once your reputation is set as a troll then it's harder to rehabilitate it. If the trollish posts are the most common, then the worthwhile posts are not going to count for much. If the person wants to redeem their reputation, it will require a continuous long period with NO trolling.
