Notification System suggestions

I just had a thought about the notification system, currently you only get a notification when someone replies directly to you but you don't get any when someone replies to another member which is a bit weird since you'd like to see what the discussion is evolving to. What I suggest is a follow button that is activated automatically when you reply to a thread, that way you get your usual notifications when someone replies to you but also notifications when someone replies to any other member. Also the button could be used to get notifications on threads you are not part of by manually hitting the button.

I recommended this like 3 months ago. Do not count on it being put in any time soon.

If this feature was put in, you would never have to worry about stagnating individual message boards.

Well,imdforums has this option already.

On that site,it's activated.No matter if you post or not on a subject that you follow,you get a notification that someone posts something on that subject.The only thing is that you have to post only one time on that thread,then you get the notification😉

Hey, I finally received a notification from a movie board, not just one of the main boards! Cool! Keep up the good work!

He meant to get a notification from any/all replies in a given thread.

Jim the site owner encourages us to email him with suggestions and to tell him about glitches and such. He very much wants to make this the best site he can make. And he reads and replies to most emails he gets sent. So give it a shot. I think a follow button would be great!!
