Celebrity Lifestyle Experts/Chefs

Since the 2010's began there seems to be an an excessive amount of celebrities (both movie actors and former reality stars) who have these lifestyle blogs and self authored lifestyle books popping up. Additionally there are many celebrities with cooking shows. This is judgmental on my part, but I have trouble believing that so many of these people acquired excessive Martha Stewart knowledge in a short number of years as well as learned to cook multiple meals during their time as busy actors/actresses. Like ghost writers who write a lot of these celebrity memoirs I feel like there are "ghost" lifestyle experts and "ghost" chefs who are behind the scenes teaching the celebrities all these things. Basically it's just another way for them to market themselves.
Now I know that there are some celebrities out there who do legitimately research and learn this stuff; however I doubt it's as many that seem to represented.

Wolfgang Puck was my favorite chef because he's German, actually Austrian but they speak German too. Loved Nigella Lawson but it was hard to concentrate on the food because she was so sexy. Anthony Bourdain's show is good where he travels around the world to experience various countries cuisine. Gerard Depardieu has a good similar show on one of the French channels.

Now they're pretty legit. Who I am referring to is celebrities like Hayley Duff and such who all of a sudden have their own shows.

Once piracy became widespread, tv ratings in general went down and it's a lot cheaper to do reality shows than scripted shows. Also syndication demand would be down. That's the main reason why you see so many of that type I would guess.

I can't stand her either, she is so smug and pretentious, just like Angelina Jolie, Bono, Sean Penn, Kanye West, Charlie Sheen, etc...

I miss the days when actors had publicists, before they started speaking for themselves online and we found out how dumb most of them are. I used to be a huge fan of hers, in the 90s. Edit: I don't know what is wrong with me, today. I feel like being rude. I think I need a break from the old internet.
