Would there be a way to add movie info to the individual boards?

Currently IMDB's only remaining draw is the wealth of movie information it has.

Something should be done to ensure there's no reason to visit imdb.com ever again and starve that site of traffic.

They say they love their social media - let that be their only source of traffic from here on out. And if you happen to have them liked/followed on Facebook/twitter/etc. please unsubscribe or unfollow.

MovieChat has horrible movie boards, often leaving out the protagonist of the film, also the director. At least you can post in the comments below them, which IMDB eliminated, as part of their attempt for a Marxist takeover of the world.

TMDB runs circles around MovieChat. Individual members can edit or get pages edited for things missing. But there is almost no traffic in their forums.

TMDB never took off. I have an account there. I should check it.

TMDB's content for individual films is similar to IMDB, and you can click on each name for an individual page. Forum traffic was OK when IMDB closed its forums, but it dropped considerably after 18 months, down to almost nothing now. What a shame!

You can click on the TMDB rating for each film and it gives a breakdown of how many ratings for each score. Look at a film noir or really any film. There are a surprisingly high number of ratings on TMDB, even though there may be few or no posts in its Discussions for a film with lots of ratings. Users used to post Reviews (which have to be approved.) There are not many new reviews anymore, but I posted a few over a year ago.

When IMDB closed its forums, I stopped rating films there and haven't logged in since. All of my film ratings are now on TMDB. Their ratings are fairly reliable for the quality of any film, compared to other movie rating sites.

I asked them why they don't have a chat room. I got this response:

Yep. Let's just say the general discussion forum was an experiment that got out of hand pretty quickly. It quickly turned into a never-ending battle against trolls and misbehaving users that took all of our time and energy. It honestly was not a positive experience for anyone involved.

When IMDB closed forums, I might have looked at TMDB's General Discussion once and never posted or looked again. I did the same thing on MovieChat. I only posted on individual movies both here and at TMDB.

I looked at MovieChat's General Discussion again this summer. I then started posting and playing the games and quizzes.
