Will House Republicans have the decency to expel George Santos tomorrow?

The House weighs historic decision on whether to expel George Santos

Embattled Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) is set to face expulsion from the House as soon as Wednesday, possibly becoming the first congressman in more than 20 years to be removed in a motion brought forth by Republicans from his own delegation.

Ha! The GOP doing the right thing? Thanks for the chuckle...

reply

All RINOs must be purged.

Is he the one who pulled the fire alarm during a vote a few weeks back? That guy should definitely get fired and put in jail for such a dangerous act.

reply

No. But he claimed that he did it.

reply

Nope. Votes are votes to Rethugs, no matter how ill-gained.

reply

Santos is very much hurting the re-election of NY Republicans in swing districts, so they obviously need him to be expelled. However, they will need the support of other GOP House members. Will they get any?

reply

The resolution is now being debated. Watch it on CSPAN.

reply

republicans still won't expel trump from being their top choice as presidential nominee for 2024, so given the degree of corruption, treason, authoritarianism, etc, etc, etc they're willing to accept about THAT, any expectancy of "decency" regarding santos has LONG ceased to be a consideration.

reply

It's about keeping power not ethics. The Repub house margin is slim as is so I doubt they will vote to give up Santos' vote

reply

I essentially said the same thing.

reply

We were right.
