Why Trump Pays Farmers $28 Billion in "Strong" Economy?

Because the economy is really weak. Now, he tweeted that he'll pay them even more.

Tariff money coming into the U.S.? I don't think he realizes how tariffs work. Fucking hell Trump is stupid.

Let's clarify how tariffs work. There is no tariff money "coming into the U.S.". Tariffs are paid by the importer of the foreign goods that have tariffs on them. That is, tariffs are paid by AMERICAN companies that are importing the goods. They, in turn, end up passing down that cost to the consumer, but that is really not the point I am making.

Trump is being dishonest when he talks of tariff money "coming into the U.S.".

Here is an article from august of last year. At that time Trump had subsidized farmers to the tune of $28 billion. Trump's tariffs, at that time, had brought in $27 billion. That is a slight net loss. And more importantly, that money came from AMERICAN companies paying tariffs.

I hope this clears Trump's misframing of where tariff money comes from. I'll leave the article that I got the numbers from.

The economy is great for the wealthy but weak for the working class because we're living in a plutocracy. Bloomberg won't do a thing about it and you know it.

I repeatedly said that no politician will help you. That includes Sanders. That's why you have to help yourself. What are you doing to help yourself?

I wasn't born with a silver spoon. I wasn't dopey enough to think a politician was going to magically change my life. I worked hard and changed it myself.

I was born poor, dimwit. Politicians were talking about the "war on poverty" when I was a kid. Only an idiot would wait for them to magically change their lives. If you want to do something constructive then help yourself. Learn a skill, go to school or start a business. Earn enough money then you can turn around and help others financially.

Sanders has been a politician for over 30 years. How many people has he rescued from poverty? Give me a link.

You want to cry about Bloomberg being a capitalist? He created 15,000 jobs for people. That sounds like Bloomberg has helped a lot more people than your "Bernie".

Wait until that farmer and his wife visit their Piggly Wiggly and by lobsters and prime rib for dinner on our dime (that government aid T-rump's giving them to survive), wearing their red MAGA Hats! I wonder if Republicans will call them the Welfare King and Queen, like they do the minorities who need government help to put food on their table ?

I saw a farmer and his wife shit-face drunk the other day at the grocery store buying filet mignon and jumbo shrimp. I hate these moochers. I'm sick of it!!!!!!!!

And they were driving around town in their brand new Caddy with the 'MAGA' bumper sticker on it. Paid for by government assistance. Then the wife drove into town and had her hair and nails done. Paid by government assistance.

Ronnie Reagan had a name for that - 'Welfare Queen'.

That's why we have to vote T-rump out of office and let these farmers work for their money!!! That's the Reagan Republican ideology. Let's not fail poor Ronny.

Sad thing is, in all seriousness, Trump is turning these farmers into "welfare queens". These farmers don't want hand-outs paid for with tax-payer money. They want to work for a living. Trump has turned once proud farming families into families on the government's dole. All this for a trade war with no end in sight. Trump is conducting foreign policy as he would a real estate deal in N.Y. Art of the deal? What a fucking joke!
