I caught the end of this film about 20+ years ago. I think it was maybe from the 70s or 80s. A blonde woman (I think) is just running through the desert trying to get away from a guy trying to kill her. I think he'd previously killed the friends she was travelling with. The whole film was set in the desert I believe.

That is one awesome, creepy film...I love it! Rutger Hauer was excellent in that! I didn't like the remake with Sean Bean though, and I usually like Sean...but not as the hitcher I didn't.
In fact, I'm gonna watch The Hitcher right now...gotta get my Rutger Hauer fix...lol. 😉
