yo Bodie, Steel certainly does rust underwater and it rusts faster in salt water than fresh water. Google it and you will learn something today. I know it's been 5 years but I expect an immediate reply! You clearly didn't watch the movie. In the movie's world they were not raising the Titanic because it would be cool to do it. Fiscally it wasn't too expensive to raise the Titanic because it had a vault full of Unobtainium (much more powerful than Plutonium) that they needed to power a reactor for the giant Laser defense system that was going to protect the USA from Soviet Nuclear Missiles. The Titanic wasn't the prize the Byzanium Fuel was the prize. Since you haven't seen the movie I won't spoil the ending but watch it before you criticize the film it makes you look stupid. No he wasn't. Agrippa did the conquering and Augusta played sick at before battles and hid in his tent as the movie portrays. I thought they were sucking the youth from these people to regenerate some ultra rich ancient person. I wish that was the ending because we ended up with a very implausible one. What medical company not only is experimenting on humans but in a 1000x fast forward to see results quicker? This is worse than crazy Nazi Doctor Mengela. If a Rapper was going to name themselves after a car it's would be a Benz or Bugatti not a fucking Mid-size Sedan. Shayamalan is a terrible writer. The dialog is even worse. What kid goes around asking everybody he meets whats you name and occupation? Trash ass writing. The Preggers girl stuffed her face with pasta. Perhaps you didn't reach that part yet? It's been a year have you got there yet?? Beheadings were popular. Then the Romans came along and Crucifixions became the rage. Starship Troopers the movie is great because it deviates from the text. It's basically a parody of the book. She was certainly in it. She was the lady telling Ramsies to kill Moses for being a Hebrew but he ignored her request and Exiled him. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a deleted scene showing her hate Moses when he was younger because she seemed jealous of the love Daddy Ramsies gave Moses over her son. Boomers have every right to be concerned about Covid. They had a significantly higher chance of dying. Especially overweight boomers. My best friend passed from Covid a just 44 years old because he was obese. I'm 46 years old and have also seen thousands of movies. What is it about this film that makes it your favorite? It had zero plot and very little story. Performances are the only thing that saved it as a film. I really enjoyed it for that reason but all time best movie? The line is used again as they are Cool Hand Luke's last words before he get's shot in the Church. I'd always thought that quote was from Major Payne with Damon Wayans. I didn't realized until yesterday when I watched Cool Hand Luke that was where it originated. In case some of you lived under a rock in 1995 or were not born yet. Here is the Damon Wayans version of the line from Major Payne. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAhwIu56aHE Cool Hand Luke was a good watch but too repetitive and dull in spots. I'd give it a 6-7 out of 10. It's also on Youtube. Here is Youtube link: Enjoy the Soviet Wizard of Oz folks! It's a great film! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=646Rcnb9ujs&t=280s If your not in the mood for a 3 hour movie how about a classic gem that is 1.5 hours instead? I've been watching quite a few USSR films lately as their films that aren't overt propaganda are often times very good. They have much higher production quality than most American movies made at the same time currently my favorite Soviet Film right now is Amphibian Man. Quentin Tarantino said when he was in Russia years ago and asked his fellow Russian Directors if they have seen Amphibian Man and he said he Russian laughed and told him Quinton asking a Russian that is like asking an an American if they have ever seen "The Wizard of Oz". Personally I loved Amphibian Man it's like a cross between a James Bond movie with Island of Dr. Moreau. Once again this movie is free to watch on Youtube and has English sub titles. Here is Link enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=646Rcnb9ujs&t=280s Del Toro' is a Movie buff he certainly didn't do this on accident. He either just loved the cover art or perhaps there are parallels with "The Crow" and "Pinoccio" if you dig deep into the two films. i haven't seen "The Crow" since '94 and I can't recall any details of it's story so I don't know if the two films have many parallels or not. SPOILERS AHEAD: First off I highly recommend the Movie for many reasons. First off what better director to make a Roman movie than an actual Italian?? One reason being it's actually filmed in Egypt and there are 3 set pieces that blew me away. First we see the actual step Pyramid casually in the background. Second shot we see the Great Pyramid and Egypts other giant Pyramids. Finally we see a shot with the Sphinx and they mention something about why does the Sphinx keep smiling. What's interesting is we get a great look at the Sphinx before they did it's restoration in the 1980's and it had a much different appearance than now. The Movie reminds me of a Tarantino movie with the way it casually plays with Historic facts. The movie is said to take place 25 years after Spartacus which would be year 46BC. By 46BC Crassus was already dead for 7 years by trying to campaign in Partha. He took his army and got lost in the Desert before the Partha Army found them and slowly killed his entire army including Crassus son who proved himself as a smart tactical leader and fought very bravely for Caesar in Gaul. It's been said the Partha Army accepted a request for Crassus to talk terms of surrender. Crassus must have liked his chance at negotiating for his life being the richest man in Rome he should have some bargaining power but instead they killed him by pouring molten gold down his throat (as the movie depicted). My big gripe with the movie was it's "Hollywood' happy ending. IRL in 46BC Caesar was literally the Dictator for life and he couldn't allow a 4th Serville War to go unpunished. Crassus had 15K slaves crucified after the 3rd Serville War (Spartacus uprising). The son of Spartacus (Randus) should have been put on the Crucifix and make it an allegory for Jesus is what I was hoping for. If Caesar killed Randus he could feasibly allow the other slaves to live. I recommend this film like Kubricks other Sequel 2010:space oddysee. Both get 6.5/10 If you haven't seen it yet and based on this post I'm guessing you haven't. The best Basketball movie by far was "Hoop Dreams". It's a documentary of 2 kids we follow their lives dream of playing in the NBA. When we first meet the kids they are in 8th grade and by movies end we have seen their lives and basketball careers end when they get out of Highschool. Will they get scholarships will they make the NBA? Their are funny part's and others had me tearing up. Great movie and great stories. I still have a copy on VHS. Hoosiers was great but Hoop Dreams hit's hardest. That movie had me in tears in parts. Truth is darker than fiction. I was 13 and to old to admit I liked Turtles. I watched the hell out of the move on VHS though. I was just a touch too old for this. My childhood was He-Man, Thundercats, Transformers, and Voltron.
