According to mr Scott it was because of pacing reasons. It was unfortunate because it left door open to Cameron's queen and giant ants BS.
BTW, its not a director's cut. Scott considers it merely an alternative version.

Mini me and fat bastard originated from this movie, if I recall correctly, so it wasn't all that bad. And Alan Parsons Project made me laugh. But otherwise its clearly the weakest of the three (Goldmember being the best, imho).

It was halloween. She kept it to herself probably thinking its nothing serious or someone's doing a halloween prank on her.
Edit: besides, she got scared when she bumped to the sheriff, so she probably forgot the whole thing for a brief moment.
Don't forget Virginia Madsen. She could have narrated the whole film in a close-up.
I mainly know him as Bobby Axelrod from Billions... then some minor roles in movies. Didn't remember he was in Band of Brothers. I should rewatch it.

Nonsense, its one of the greatest endings ever. One of those rare instances I can't figure out how did it get through Hollywood production line, test audiences and self-censorship. Post 9/11 this movie wouldn't have been made. God bless David Fincher.
