I didn’t speak of French accent but of speaking French. The Quebecois obviously speak French with an accent. Coleman’s accent has nothing to do with Quebecois accent. It’s just a fake and horrible imitation of French language. Every sentence ends with a question tone because she thinks it’s how the French speakers talk. It’s just comical and doesn’t need a lesson in Franco-Quebecois relations to know how absurd it sounds.
Because you insisted that this movie is the best thing since the invention of Coca-Cola, I watched the end. All the more reason to find it absurd and overrated. Interestingly others in this forum have explained better why it is a very bad film. What can I add really?

Which slice of life? We have certainly lived different lives because I have never seen something so absurd! The movie just doesn’t make sense because you can’t find anything like it in real life. It’s constant harrasment of mind to watch this movie and what is the message here?
The whole movie is a complete mess. Just pure hype.
What is so wonderful about this movie?! A bunch of people shouting constantly without any movement in the story. Most of the dialogues don’t make sense at all. I watched 70% and then stopped. It’s just pure hype. No wonder not many people like the movie: only reviewers are crazy about it.
Oh you will see her a lot. It‘s a good series, just some casting problems.
Agree, very ordinary movie. Without Hanks would have been a B Movie.
I don‘t understand why they don‘t try to stick close to history. Nothing in this series is historical. All invented nonsense which isn‘t even more interesting that the historical events.
Funny that her role actually gets on my nerves. She is pretending to be French speaker but with a horrible fake accent. It ruins the series if you know a bit of french. In fact it is funny that everyone in this movie is pretending to be foreigner but most of them are just British.
This is one of the most ridiculous aspects of the series. Some actors pretend to speak French but they can't go further than "How are you", "OK", "Good". They could simply hire some French-speaking actors.
