I just got the Dark Force Entertainment blu-ray here: https://darkforcesuperstore.com/forced-entry-1984-collectors-edition-blu-ray-w-slipcover-dark-force-last-300/ Yeah, that's a good example. The way some of the characters tried to talk to to the zombies made me laugh. Other than the professor at the beginning, you have the scene where George, Evelyn and Michael are in the room and in some the zombies. George says "Who are you?" pause, no answer of course "Why are you here?" LOL! I don't know why anyone seeing hulking figures of rotting flesh and covered with maggots would try to talk at all. I'd just be looking for an exit pronto. It can matter quite a bit. Sometimes the dialog is very different. There's a discussion on one of the commentary tracks for the recent UHD of this about that very thing. It was pointed out that the English dub makes the movie seem more campy, while the Italian has a more serious tone and there is political and class commentary that isn't part of the English track at all. I think what sometimes happens is that if the script is written by someone who is Italian, the dialog there may be better, and the English dub of the translated text loses some of the flavor. Oh this is just too awesome! The original rock version for me, but the unplugged re imagining of it was very good, and gave the song a new life. Tell me about the "blonde and brunette hottie cat fight"? I was wondering if there was any spicy content in the full version, but given it was made for TV likely not. Though Italian TV was probably less prudish than US TV. Four babes in this movie. I have to stare at Yor in his animal skin speedo the whole time. At least give us one waterfall nude bathing scene from Kalaa, Roa or Tarrita. They even go by a perfect location for it on their journey, where you see this waterfall in the background by the river they are traveling. The theme song was cool. The movie got instant credit with me for that theme song at the begniing. Alas there wasn't much else to like. I did laugh when part of the song came up again as Yor uses the pterodactyl like creature he just killed as a hang glider. That was probably the only line I'll remember. I thought the movie was awful, otherwise. The actors in this were clearly speaking English. Their lips matched the words pretty well. Why shouldn't she be happy? She has taken care of herself. She has power and adoring fans. Knows secrets of a lot of the Hollywood crowd. If Madelyn and Helen hadn't wrecked their bodies, they would be happy too. I think the movie is great, but does start to maybe drag a bit at the end. I don't think another character and extending the runtime would have helped. It'd be nice to see those scenes as special features on a disc release.
And somehow they all fit into that little sea plane, lol.
Weren't there two seaplanes? Still pretty tight, but more believable. Not this one unfortunately. It would have helped make this interminable picture more tolerable. She does look great, like a prettier Anika Ekberg. But this movie was a total bore. I thought this movie was completely boring, overlong, unnecessarily drawn out. Nothing scary about it. Nothing wrong with her ass, it looked fine. Better the way it was than a bubble butt from implants. She did have a weird nose, though. I think her accent was Australian. The native woman riding around on the horse with Donald Pleasance was ravishing. Really beautiful. Interesting. I just watched the 1975 original today. I didn't know about these other versions. Thank you for cataloging those. I enjoyed it, but the camp/sleaze is what makes it. I can't imagine being able to sit through the TV version which would remove all the nude footage of the adorable Pia Zadora. She was very cute. Had kind of a young Joey Laruen Adams look to her. And I'm a sucker for 80's fashions (the skirts, heels, hair, makeup, etc). Pia was great to look at. How awesome would that be if an actress did that at one of the major award shows? That would be gold! Yeah, I can see that (Sarah Silverman) comparison. She was a very annoying person, but she was playing a real type of character and did it well.
