Serious question: Why are you defending AvP? What do you see in it? AvP is an awful movie and literally nothing about the film stands out.
Ripley kills herself in Alien 3 to prevent Aliens from reaching Earth but, according to Paul WS Anderson, Aliens have been on Earth for thousands of years making Ripley's death pointless? Every Predator film shows Predators strongly prefer hot climate, but Predators have built pyramids in the coldest place on Earth? Also, AvP highly exaggerates the Predators. A Predator couldn't beat a cop in hand to hand combat in Predator 2 but a Predator can wrestle an Alien? Aliens are supposed to be 8 ft tall and very strong but the Predators in AvP look bigger than the Aliens. I've never seen a Predator at that size in any of their own films. The Aliens in AvP were obviously dumbed down to make the fights fair for the Predators to satisfy all the kiddie Predator fantards.

Prometheus isn't an amazing movie but it's definitely better Aliens vs Crab Face. But of course, that's not saying much.
