At the end of [i]Prometheus[/i], Shaw tells David she wants to meet Engineers and get answers. David tells Shaw he knows how to operate Engineers' ship. Everyone else is dead. No help coming. What do you expect Shaw to do?

So you don't want to count the prologue video because it's not in the film itself yet you count the [i]Alien: Covenant[/i] novel simply because you favor the novel over the film.

If you watch the prologue [i]The Crossing[/i], Shaw is sleeping as David's killing Engineers. Shaw probably never woke up.

Oram changes the destination because some of their colonists have died while flying to Origae-6 and Origae-6 was 7 years away. The Covenant lands on Planet 4 because they assumed it was safe for humans to live on after hearing Shaw's voice coming from Planet 4.
Also, Shaw didn't want an SoS. She wanted to meet Engineers to know more about them you brainlet. Did you not listen to Shaw at the end of [i]Prometheus[/i]?
Because Shaw never knew David was the one who put the black goo in her boyfriend's drink, dumbass. At the end of [i]Prometheus[/i], everyone else is dead, except for David, so Shaw didn't have any other option but to trust David.

Because this movie takes place before the original [i]Alien[/i] film so the characters in Covenant have no idea what were inside the eggs you idiot.
