It's the new Oscarbait model, after they had to throw Weinstein under the bus to distract from Russiagate and the shootings. The good news is less historical dramas, biopics and British people; the bad news is everything you listed.

When whinging Natalie Portman is cast in a movie, it will always carry a PC/SJW stigma unfortunately. The more bombs she headlines the less likely we'll see her in blockbusters so that's a good outcome anyway, and she'll eventually go the way of Demi Moore.
Sulky DC fanboys are absolutely livid at this result - seeing their supposed pop culture icons absolutely destroyed by a minor Marvel character makes them rage in frustration. You can tell their inner racist threatens to break from their core if not for the fact that only a woman is keeping their franchise afloat now.
Well, another major difference is that Black Panther has outgrossed all of the white Batman films now. lol!

Agreed, but in your last sentence you answer it perfectly: it's a Disney film. He's a token PC character to appease screaming SjW fans, and yet, in the greatest irony, is the very definition of the acceptable black character stereotype they were fighting against in the past - a goofy, buck-dancing, non-threatening, asexual, friend-zoned former slave who seems more like he escaped from Song of the South than the Stormtrooper empire. That's what feminists and SjW fanbois really like to see in spite of their posters and boards, and it was delivered in a satisfying manner.
Agreed, typical fembarrassing behavior from the spoiled hypocrite. She was gifted an Oscar by the institution then thought it entitled her to turn against it, but now that she's stopped spreading her legs the prime roles have stopped coming in and her always limited abilities have seen her string together nothing but flops when she doesn't have a superior male lead to carry the picture.
The terrible CGI is a problem, but the major issue are the atrocious screenplays.
