Don't ever see the House on the Left. That has to be by far one of the most traumatic rape scenes in a movie. I only saw the movie and I thought it was a wonderful. The book must have been amazing. I don't read many books these days but if I do, I will have to buy that one. We are around the same age. I think Jaws definitely impacted most of us from our generation. For the prior generation I think it was Psycho. I still give the edge to the Breakfast Club. Like the other posters mentioned, Sixteen Candles is more of a comedy but BC has more depth This was Lindsay at her prime. There are many actors that fall out .... however, she is still young and can hopefully revive her career. Other actors like Robert Downy Jr. and John Travolta were able to come back after their careers nose-dived. The Body Snatchers remake. I actually like the remake vs. the original movie. It would depend on what stage of life I was in. I read this when I was pretty young so initially I would say it was Ponyboy. As I got older it would have been Darryl. He gave up a ride to college to keep his family intact. The movie was good, however, I loved the book which I had read many years earlier. I saw it at the movies a life-time ago so I don't really remember if this was more of a chick flick or if there were also a lot of guys at the movie theater. I always liked movies that showed men bonding; it is nice to men in a softer light. It is made from the sassafras tree. I think it is very nostalgic for older people ... I buy it for my Mom (87 years old). I was never a fan, but root beer floats used to be very popular too. You would add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. On another subject; that was something that Johnny Cash's father had said to him when his other son died. Talk about something that you would never forget in a life time. And he is mild in this role; he was completely repulsive in Eye for an Eye and some of the other darker movie roles that he had played. Outsiders. I loved the book so much that I probably read it 20+ times. The movie was good, but books develop characters much better. Refreshing to see a poster to try to educate without being insulting. Nice job! And Matt Dillion's characters die in both. I love how people that were never Police Officers comment on how they should have acted. If they can do the job better; why don't they enlist to become Police Officers? Definitely at the top of the list; Brooke was a beautiful child/teenager. In my generation I also thought Phoebe Cates (Fast Times), Jacklyn Smith (Charlies Angels) & Linda Carter (Wonder Woman) were all beautiful women. At least in my house, we had a combination of colors (depending on the room). I remember, white, taupe and black. I am sure they would re-purpose props. I know this is old, but I think people jumped a little ugly on the OP. Bottom line, an actor has a choice to take a role. They may have to gain weight, lose weight, shave hair, nudity, etc. It is up to them to determine if they want to do the role for the money. Sure the OP is a bit vain but they didn't have to crucify him for being honest. I didn't read the book, but I thought Anna dies in a car accident. As a result, her organs are given to Kate and she goes into remission. Agreed. In that particular scene she looks like Claire Danes.
