Wow, this comment was made in 2012! Tom Brady ended up winning 7 Superbowls in 10 appearances. He made like 9 consecutive AFCE wins, 8 consecutive AFCCG appearances and 3 wins in 5 SB! Truly the greatest to ever play the game. And I'm a proud Patriot for his 6 SB wins for Patriots. I think you're confused mate. You're not comparing things properly. What I'm saying is body programming is of highest priority. But if something is trumping that to the point people are considering body physiology altering surgery, then there's other brain chemistry at play here. And this isn't self-determination or drugs/alcohol type because there's no body programming innate to self as gender and sex which is determined neo natal stages of development as you also say. This means, there is something else able to trump the earliest developments of body physiology. This is science realm now. Not some pseudo mumbo jumbo "modern left" co-opting. You're talking modern politics immaturely and incorrectly when these things such as "effeminate" and "tomboy" existed for 100s of years if not 1000s. While modern politics is driven by imbeciles on the right mostly claiming cringey terms like "Woke" and "ultra left" etc. there are morons on the left as well. Basically, you're not properly understanding the issue nor the question but just parroting something. The question is - what is there beyond cultural programming that is even stronger that is coming from within from people. This is a scientific question and beyond your scope imo. There are 2 sexes and 2 genders but there are people acting against their gender and today taking action because of our medical advancements. The question is what is happening in the brain and what is the evolutionary need triggering those desires. The path seems like a dead end from propagation of species perspective but maybe not as well. It is a very small %, granted, but it does seem to exist. I don't think you're qualified now with your childish rants against "modern left" statements to address this. Well, according to what you say, scientifically, there should be NO basis for anyone overcoming body programming that you're one of the 2 sexes (and ergo, one of the 2 genders in the species). And you say there's cultural programming which is now seemingly trumping body programming, which has happened even before self awareness and should be apex and something one cannot overcome. However, some few people are overcoming it and doing gender change surgery or whatnot in order to quiesce their brain asking them (which is basically their brain as well for all intents and purposes) to do so. Meaning, what you say is not complete. Yes, gonadotropins cause formation of reproductive organs first which is where brain wraps around to eventually bring about a sense of self wrt gender. i.e. you're either male or female. But given people are undergoing surgery to affect this means there is more to it scientifically. Something we need to explore and work on and determine what is causing this. Simply saying "cultural programming" is basically acknowledging that you have no clue and you might as well say "god told me to" type argument. I'm sure it is one of the factors but not the only factor. There is underlying brain chemistry happening and firing of synapses which are telling this female that she needs to be male. This process needs to be understood further scientifically. And there quite likely may have been cases this way even through the ages. Hence words like "effeminate", "tomboy" etc. existed before advent of the modern versions. And I'm sure there's other evidence through history too. Perhaps it is that today there's a lot more easier channel for people to voice their opinions and hence it is bringing about more awareness. This is similar to someone saying "there were no rape cases before metoo because there are zero cases reported on rapes in undeveloped nations from 10000BCE to 1900CE etc. It is a good scientific answer, however, as a science person myself, I must ask then how do you explain this person? I don't think her parents forced her to become a man. It is basically brain chemistry, the proteins and neurotransmitters and synapses and dendrons and what not all hodge podge into her thinking she is a man. So she thinks she is a man. While I think scientifically there are only 2 sexes and 2 genders, there's people who seem to think they want to be the opposite sex, for whatever reason. There has to be scientific evolutionary answer for this. Either it is an aberration or a pathway that evolution has brought them to and maybe a million years from now, evolution will show up how it unfolds. Basically natural selection. According to laws of universe matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed and total amount is fixed in the universe and they can be converted from one form to another only or energy to matter So when transporting molecules and atoms and quarks and everything within is converted to energy and reconstituted back into the original matter. So you're the same you just transported through space and time faster. The transporter is not making a copy of you because to make a copy you'd need to convert your matter to energy and then dispose of that matter and transport that energy to point B and use molecules there to reconstitute you back but that's an issue if molecules and atoms etc there aren't available. So it takes you, makes it energy, sends it across and reconstitutes that same energy back to the original matter As long as they make supergirl how Helen Slater looked then I’ll watch it. Just make her less cartoony and the story should be good and don’t bother with Superman at all. Just make it about her and have a good enemy. Not someone stupid like Lex Luthor, a human who is like a bug to Superman but Superman inexplicably never deals with him. She needs to wear her iconic skirt costume too. The recent Sasha one was also good albeit it was a parallel universe. She was amazing as supergirl and had a totally diff look and costume but she was beautiful and played the part really well. What’s funny and ironic and sad is if you watch Bollywood movies, all the actresses there are super light skinned and they all are wannabe white looking. They even have ads featuring how to make yourself look whiter in India. For a nation that is so predominantly brown and dark skinned they want to totally not want that and prefer white skin. It’s quite ironic It was not initially clear. It was clear basically only a few hours before impact. And then they said the smaller piece will hit Cape Arcturus or something like that (maybe near Massachusetts? In the Atlantic Ocean. And the big piece would hit Western Canada and basically decimate earth. The smaller piece caused a mushroom cloud to hit the atmosphere and then double back down in like 3 seconds. So it was honestly devastating. That itself must have spewn so much dust and ash. Also the waters hit east coast and wiped out NYC but likely a huge chunk of DC several hundred miles south along with Europe, Africa and Virginia. They said waters came in as far inland as Ohio and Tennessee which is a goof because I think that was supposed to be the 2nd and larger piece doing that? It probably decimated London too along with most of United Kingdom and Iceland and Portugal and maybe Paris and parts of France etc. Given the trajectory wasn’t known till the end I guess no one knew where to go although the NY scenes were odd. Like the guy reading a newspaper (Morgan freeman said it will hit 425p Eastern) like he’s out on a stroll during office lunch break. Anyways I loved this movie I think the answer is telomere shortening. Leading to cellular senescence. These are proteins at end of chromosomes and inside cells. Every cell. After x number of cell divisions the telomere shortens enough that cells no longer divide causing cells that die off to remain gone. Since everything is made of cells in our body, this means we lose the things you mentioned; muscle mass to bone density to loss of organ functionality etc. And telomere shortening happens with age. So rate of this shortening directly correlates to life span. So I think doctors and scientists know more about this. And maybe in future it could be slowed or repaired or reversed. They're not Americans. They're South Americans. It's as silly as saying Indians when talking about people from Barbados. They're West Indians, not Indians. Similarly Brazilians and Argentinians are South Americans, not Americans. American refers only to people of United States of America, a country in North American continent. https://youtu.be/3S5BLs51yDQ?t=51 Congrats. You are officially admitted to the "What's a computer?" club with that girl from that Apple ad. It's called the "Cringy Folks Club". S2E6 was frankly a lot of rubbish and cliche. Reacher is supposed to be smart and uses his brains and logic and also can fight if needed. He's not a Hulk nor Sherlock Holmes. Tom Cruise was PERFECT as Reacher imo. Smart, quick and took people out as needed without wanton killing. This dude also is belligerent needlessly especially with cops and that one NYPD cop who is ok with all the silly comments. It's ballooned into a switch off your brain completely and go with the show and don't question anything at this point. e.g. there's the cop bringing the wife and kid from somewhere to Manhattan or wherever and covering a large distance as a car behind fires multiple rounds from automatics as there are zero cars nearby and no one and the other car folks catch up to them. I mean, wtf. Have they ever been to NYC? That's absolutely not how it is. Not even in I Am Legend it was like that... lol. So you get it. They made it too cartoony and silly honestly. I wish they'd have kept him more realistic and logical and believable instead of cartoony. I mean, I still can't get over him killing like 30+ people in S1 including ramming a cop with an SUV in the police station and killing him by pinning him against a jail cell (with borderline on whether he was guilty or not). There's ZERO chance Reacher walks after that. He'd in Supermax. When Citadel is better than Reacher, you know this show is done S2 is just as silly honestly and over the top. Reacher is basically untouchable and cannot do anything wrong. Hell, he goes to FBI and gets info from them because he's the brother of a slain FBI agent from a year or more ago and the FBI gives him all the info because...? And to top it off, he tells the FBI who wants to arrest them, "...unless I kill them all" and the FBI agent says "just like his brother". WTF.... a guy walks into FBI office and says "I'm going to kill people" and FBI is like "oh, haha, just another Tuesday and ok, fine" Jeez. Reacher has become a joke, a cartoon. He doesn't deduce anything properly and is going around killing folks left and right and even NYPD and FBI and whoever doesn't care at all. I mean, what? The NYPD cop keeps fighting with this guy but keeps giving him all info, lets him do whatever. Senator is involved in stuff and doesn't care. And the truck exchange in S2E5 was just laughable. These 2 women drive up to 4-5 guys who have a truck in the middle of the road. The guys have just killed the other SINGLE trucker delivering 650 weapons worth $65million with ZERO security (lol) in the middle of the road. The 4 guys unload on the 2 women who are in the front seat using assault weapons. But they're not killed because the 2 women have moved to the back seat, dropped the seat and slid into the trunk. lol, wtf? And they pop out of the trunk and easily kill the 3 attackers. Meanwhile, ONE guy takes the truck with the 650 missiles and drives off and absolutely NO one can catch him? including cops who've been notified. Then there's a shootout at a funeral but 2 hidden snipers cannot initially take out even 1 guy from the back who are steady and not moving. Lol. what? And then one gets taken out and other is blown up and cop allows. Who wrote this garbage? Some 11 yr old kid? I'm going to finish Reacher S2 but this has become such a stupid show. It's worse than most over the top shows honestly now and just a comedy at this point. Totally disagree. Tom Cruise was perfect as Reacher. Reacher is ex-military so has the skills. He is stealthy, fast and very intelligent. But he's not a giant brick who kills people in dozens and leaves bodies all over without regard for law or consequences. Cruise was truly fantastic imo. While I like the Battle Royale movie copy guy as Reacher and his Season 1 was great, S2 is just meh so far. He's been reduced to not the Sherlock Holmes style sleuth who can pack a punch but more of a Hulk type here. The beauty of Reacher was quiet effective justice without cartoony carelessness. The Cruise Reacher embodied that perfectly and believably. The fight outside the bar in Reacher: Never Go Back was packed with witty one liners like "Think", "Always" and then beating the crap out of them while remaining calm. Sadly that is gone. I had hoped for another Cruise Reacher movie but that ship has sailed now. He's making the epic Mission Impossibles but I hope he makes Edge Of Tomorrow sequel fast. He's aging rapidly now as he's like what? 60? Fantastic actor who was truly a fantastic Reacher War of the Stars you mention is also wrong. It should be Wars of the Stars. You changed the plural Wars in original to just War, so that is an error on your part. Originally there was one movie Star Wars. It's called A New Hope because while hope existed it never panned out for them so a new hope emerged. It is as simple as that. This hope was more promising and that leads to the question: well then for how long were they in need of Hope? Answer: 4 movies because it was a while and this is the middle of a long story with squashed hopes. Hence it is episode 4. It's also called Star Wars because multiple Wars are taking place across multiple Star systems. I mean it's a nice catchy title that has brevity and conveys everything in just 2 words. You should applaud that. Hence, Star Wars IV: A New Hope. It's called Back To The Future. But they're not going to the same future. And they're never going back because time is moving forward always even when they go back in time. So it should be Travels To A New Future. And Raiders Of The Lost Ark because there's multiple Raiders from Belloc to Nazis and to the most famous Indiana Jones. And the Ark is indeed lost and they're finding it. The movie establishes this is his adventure and win and hence Indiana Jones and the Raiders Of The Lost Ark. It's because there was very little online social media. It was just emerging. Today the littlest things are broadcast instantly and a few people blow it up as if everyone feels that way. Reality is people still are no different than 2008 but the majority is being drowned out by the fringe crazies on right and left. The right has a lot of crazies and to counter them many on left are equally crazy. It is a movie and everyone enjoyed it because it was funny. Acting means to put on a role. If you need props to do so, that's how they did it for this movie. I was amazed how well he played an Australian playing a black char. Should have won an Oscar for that honestly along with Tom Cruise, who was also stereotyping. Both were stellar. People today still enjoy this comedy because people like comedy and are mature enough to realize this is just a comedy movie. However people who are in media and advertising are hyping and blowing things up and making monetary decisions that is making everyone stop since it's affecting their income. I guarantee if someone makes a movie like this, it will succeed quite a bit albeit there will be some lower revenue to the advertisers being afraid. Make a dozen such good quality movies and the world will dramatically change. Because it is ok to laugh at ourselves There's a dialog in the movie "over 500 years in a box will make anyone crazy". So she was definitely boxed around early 1500s to maybe even late 1400s. However, they also have visions of each other, especially when a new "immortal" spawns (somehow). Perhaps they also sporadically share visions and memories. So when Booker and others were found, Quynh was alive and heard his name and saw his face. Plus they also seem to be drawn to each other somehow so they're aware somewhat of where they are. She must have escaped perhaps recently and been tracking them and watching them. All this means, she knows the dynamics and what's going on - suddenly she finds one guy separated from rest so she showed up tracking him to find out why Yes. Jack Reacher (2012) and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) and I liked both. The first one was a lot better than the 2nd but the 2nd had some good action scenes especially the very satisfying bar scene fight
