I agree. One minute Bonnie is planning to leave town, then Will gets stabbed, then they're getting married. And Mrs. C recovered pretty quickly after - chemotherapy, was it? She didn't even lose any hair. Either a lot of scenes were cut (I watch in the U.S., so that's a possibility) or it's just bad writing.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing!
Another thing that bugged me is that there was no indication of getting the daughter psychological counseling. I would have thought that would be a priority for a 16 year old. Is a 16 yr old considered an adult in the UK?
I was watching on a small screen so didn't realize what was going on until it was almost over. It was hilarious but someone please tell me it was CGI. If not, that's one courageous actor.
I did, too. I binge-watched quite a few TV shows and films that featured him.
Something to do with corrupt practices at the water board, maybe?
"why was Morse so cold to the Thursday daughter." Yeah, it feels like something was cut. There was that vague flashback where she says, "I can't keep doing this" which indicates that something happened or further words were exchanged after Morse asked about coffee in the previous episode.
I really enjoy this show but there are some mighty annoying plot holes.
Pretty sure "angel crossing Carfax" was Susan, Morse's ex-fiancee. She broke up with him before he completed his studies at Oxford and he was quite broken up about it. Susan is in the "Dead On Time" episode of the original Inspector Morse" series. She makes an appearance in the brief flashback scene in the Endeavour pilot, when Morse first moves into the rooming house.
The academic was indeed already married. When Morse goes to visit him, he (Morse) says, "the last I heard, you were getting married."
