Unusual series - highly recommend

A well-written and superbly acted series with unexpected plot points. It's not a soap opera. It has complex characters with complex relationships and dilemmas. I highly recommend it. It's worth sitting through the ads on Freevee.

The Lancet gave a positive review back in 96, so I'll assume the surgical details are accurate.
