In the movie he was played by a woman! A African American woman at that. I’ve seen a still picture of her with the makeup or putting it on. That would’ve gave me nightmares for the rest of my life being made up to appear as that. Now as I understand it, I think this new “Excorist” movie is going to have a few different films coming out in the next few years & I think Pazuzu figures heavily in one of them because I’ve seen the pictures of him in it, so at least in one of them you’ll see him a lot. Yeah but he wasn’t your typical heavy, he per his own words “Looked for the humanity” in the villians he was portraying. Many people say that they confuse him with Rutger Hauer. Me? I for one never did, I mean I probably may have thought of Rutger when I watched Richard’s film’s & the other way around. They reminded me of each other but I’ve never mistaken one for the other. Lynch looks totally different than Hauer, they don’t have the same look but again they can remind you of each other when you watch their films. Hauer since he was a A-lister for a time played on a bigger stage than Richard Lynch, so there’s no mistaking their body of work but Lynch also has his “big” movies as well. Yeah the British do. Ironic how you come on here on a 2 years old post questioning ME using the word & asking if anyone knows what it means. You have anything worthwhile to add to this thread other than that? I like Murphy but even I was surprised to see him chosen for a lead role such as this. He’s good in certain things in certain situations. He was great as “Scarecrow” in Batman. He’s someone that needs to find his particular vehicle & sadly I don’t think this is it. Since this is directed by Christopher Nolan who worked with Cillian in the Batman movies he was in then maybe we shouldn’t be all that surprised that Nolan put him in this. Your name should be “The Idiot”. That was not what I was asking or complaining about but ok, if you say so. What I remember him from was the TV series “Time Trax” from the 80’s. He was the main star in that so when “Pet Sematary” came around I knew who he was. He wasn’t that bad I think. You didn’t need Olivier for this for Pete’s sake. You’re right^about the omniscience part. The devil is NOT omniscient (all knowing/all seeing) Omnipresent (the ability to be everywhere at once, at the same time) & omnipotent (all powerful) like GOD is. You & the others here watch too many horror movies if you believe he is so my advice, forget about this stupid movie. People make the mistake of viewing the devil as a god himself. He’s not, he’s a created thing, he was created by an almighty, all powerful God, and a created thing is part of creation & a created thing in creation is called a “creature”. So Satan is merely a creature, an animal much like humans (mammals) are. Albeit he as an angel is a creature on a higher plane of existence than us, with higher faculties, gifts and abilities but only a creature just like your dog, cat, bird, mom or dad nonetheless. Constantine did say to Angela it was about a contest between Luu & God using only “influence”. Now that should you tell you something, something IMPORTANT. He CANNOT touch your “will” That he CANNOT do, which is why he tempts, lies & deceives, because it’s to get YOU to do that, not him. This also goes for God himself as he cannot do that either nor would he want to as he wouldn’t have given us free will if he was going to bend us to his will. When it comes to him & the big G, I don’t understand why people stress or are fearful because as it stands it never was a contest to begin with as to who the easy & clear winner is ALWAYS going to be. So NO Luu wasn’t expected to necessarily “know” what was going on in the other room & no Gabriel didn’t have any “blocker” on her so he wouldn’t. He couldn’t have known or seen already as his limits are just that..his limits just like we have. Have a good night. Actually I know the answer as I recently was researching the episode & read it online. The key was to her secret motel room where she went to change into her various outfits. She put it there so the detective couldn’t find it & trace her movements & obviously find the clothes. Ah”Witching Time!” The episode that inspired me to look up the word “Strumpet”. Oh EXCUSE ME! REALLY? Aren’t you a little ray of sunshine. Then maybe you’d better get busy answering it since you’re so interested instead of trolling me. I’d like to think it was Peter Cushing. I know I’m wrong but still I’d like to think so. As Don Corleone said to Amerigo Bonasera in “The Godfather” when Amerigo asked Don Vito to kill the men who beat his daughter til one inch of her life. He was demanding “justice” but Vito would have none of it. “That’s not justice, your daughter still lives” Those men Sandie murdered never hurt her or of course killed her, so her killing them wasn’t justice in the least. She was never beat, maimed, disfigured or otherwise hurt & there’s no indication none of them bothered her afterwards so it’s hard to sympathize much for her. Only that wing nut Eloise did because she idolized her, but she was wrong. She too could’ve used this logic but she wouldn’t. This moron lost me at “health packs”. He thinks he’s clever. Maybe instead of us stopping watching, he should stop replying if it bothers him/her. Per Ellie’s words, “Eat sh!t” is right. Right on the money because that’s what this all is, sh!t. I’m not buying any of this, that a preteen is a killing machine capable of taking out several men & getting out of any hairy situation she’s thrown into. GTFOH. Someone as obnoxious as her in an apocalyptic world would’ve been killed already 20 times over. Me? I would’ve gone after her just for spite, after making me that mad. Joel is a cold blooded killer, & you can see why Tommy was bummed remembering the sh!t they did together. No wonder he cut the guy off. You’re telling me as bad as Joel was after being stabbed & bleeding out in the freezing cold, no food, fluids & stitched up by nurse Ellie, & left in pain wheezing on the floor that all of a sudden he’s up and running? When you’re toed up, you’re toed up & he was in no condition to do ANYTHING! But of course the plot called for it & now he’s getting the drop over a group of guys searching for him. Even in the best of times if he was in a great hospital with doctors & nurses attending him, he wouldn’t have been close to being up & about & fighting….and killing as we saw him do in the show. Don’t even give me flack about the medicine Ellie supposedly gave him. That wouldn’t do anything until after quite some time & that’s a maybe & in the proper environment due to a lot of other factors. Give me a freaking break with this show, super killer Ellie & zombie Joel. But there are those of you just eaitng this up I bet. Sigh. You’re right about that Liquid. 2nd one probably turned me off for the whole series, no matter how many of them are made. Let’s hope this somehow helps to right that. I”m not sure if it was because of his new home that Tommy was afraid to send transmissions to Joel. After all they did take him in when they didn’t have to & I or we don’t know if they mind him talking to his brother, if they ever found out or he told them. How was Joel’s position any different? He lived in a military dictatorship for crying out loud, I’m sure it was just as dangerous if not even more so for him. He can never go back there now. Joel didn’t ask Tommy to do the favor out of a whim but he felt he truly couldn’t go on but brother or not I’d never do it. Don’t believe xfool when he says he would. When you have a history of committing murder with your brother then screw family, which his how Tommy probably felt. Xfool would probably say he’d do that too. The man has a new wife & child on the way, yeah he should offer to accompany Joel or screw it, just do it himself for a fools errand, just because. We saw where that got Joel at the end of the episode. If you were him, why would you want to go through God knows what & get killed by taking Ellie where she needed to go? That’s got nothing to do with being brothers but thinking “Man I don’t want to do that!” There’s a “reason” that Tommy chose to end his transmissions to Joel. Joel was only a phone call away but Tommy just cut the cord. So far it isn’t explained “why” but his only family left & he chose to do “that?” Yeah, BIG reason. Plus Joel was only a prick to him when he got there. Didn’t care about him being married or his wife pregnant. No well wishes or “Hey that’s great brother!” Thing is I wouldn’t talk to him either. Sounds like a smart reasonable woman & I don’t condemn her for expressing her point of view but of course a blind man could’ve told you what was going to happen & that she’d be shouted under her proverbial table so to speak. Now the woman had to delete her Twitter account because all the crazies have come out & I don’t think it was “harsh opinions” that made her do so but naturally many of them probably went overboard & started threatening her & taking it too far. But I agree with her take on things. In old times, women were considered prizes & spoils of war. In a society, of ANY time where things just collapse, anything you think you’ve gained, a constitution, a bill of rights, the right to vote, respecting each others person & property just goes completely out the door & Ms. Curry was intelligent enough to realize she & a lot of other people were not going to have things in their favor & she’s right this regard. Women would be relegated to either property or “spoils” once again or second hand status & that’s putting it mildly. Don’t like it? Don’t agree with me or Adrianne Curry? What are you going to do? Sue for harassment, call the cops, get a lawyer, call the news, take to social media to air out your grievances? In a world such as “The Last of Us” is based on that all goes out the f*ing door baby & we’re left on our own with only our basest instincts left. I’ve lived long enough to have learned that when the worst happens, then only the worst will be left standing. In that you can trust. “Only the good die young….or first” my friends. COVID, while not the end of society, did give you a foretaste of what it could look like, a “glimpse” of how things can be & if you’re smart you’ll heed the lessons the pandemic taught us all. But that’s the thing. They’re NOT zombies. But infected mutants who didn’t die but just mutated. Helloooo, thank you Naptown, because reading his answer I thought I was the crazy one. Some kid barely out of his teens against a grown man. But of course the kid can take him.
