You are correct, Renovatio. REALLY went down hill. I chalk it up to the actors expecting too much exposure and forcing the plot to go in way too many directions. Also, there are not enough protagonists. You don't care if anyone lives or dies. Thank you SO much for this link. I have been looking for something like this for years. I always wondered about the actual cases and what liberties were taken. It is interesting that not ALL episodes were based on actual cases and originated with obvious gossip. (Sonata For Solo Organ S1E21 comes to mind.) His is the textbook example of "wooden acting." Very handsome but useless in front of the camera. He died very young. Try and catch some William Inge plays. They, too, deal with this. A great one is The Dark At The Top Of The Stairs (1960). It is NEVER shown now for some reason. Interesting you should see it that way. I always thought it was meant as a scene to the future showing that Mona would end up all alone. Her manipulating finally getting the best of her.
