This only works in one direction. It’s hard for me to call him a villain here. A slow, amoral doofus yes. <spoiler>DeNiro is the villain of the movie.</spoiler> And the writers were on strike for more money. This is a great point. These people all act like they’ve never acted before. Bernadette doesn’t really know her role and Laroquette is mailing it in. She was very dreadful in Gotham, you are correct. It was due to her (about 80%) that I gave up on the show. She was semi attractive in Menace to Society. The next time I saw her was in Collateral and she was butt ugly. I agree with all of this. Did people in film studies stop teaching film editing at a certain point? Nearly every movie now is at least a half hour longer than it needs to be. We did not need to see alllllll of the clearance hearings to make the point. When you feel trapped in a movie it’s not good. Uh, yes. Ok fair enough. I didn’t think he had enough screen time to get consideration. I’m more concerned about what’s going on in the schools, which dwarfs what happened in the Catholic Church. But they still aren’t a fraction of what goes on in the public schools. Also nobody who would be in Best Actress category. Emily Blunt is Supporting. Who would be Supporting Actor? Josh Hartnett? Matt Damon? Even under non woke rules they weren’t stand outs. Cillian Murphy stood out among the actors of course. Yes!!! That movie lost me because I couldn’t understand any dialogue the first half hour. Thought it was the theater and went to see it again at another one and realized it was the actual movie. And you like him. Agreed. I loathe Disney at this point but this film was good. If I did not belong to the unlimited membership at my local theater I would not have spent money out of pocket on this based only on it being a Disney product. Yeah they need to name it “Brown Girl and Six Regular Sized Diverse Hipsters and Another Dark Broad”. So since it is fiction can’t they make some revisions to Black Panther’s character history? It’s not like there have never been white leaders of African nations before. However there has never been a browned skinned girl whose skin was as white as snow. Isn’t race essential to a character is skin is described as white as snow? Only one side defends and promotes them. Nothing better to do? Sad. Well I happened to enjoy the remake of Cinderella. The live action Aladdin with Will Smith was also enjoyable.
