Egypt won’t let them in and the Biden Administration wanted it that way.
When you hear that Gazans are “trapped,” the truth its that Egypt sealed its border to Gazan refugees next door in violation of international law. The Biden administration embraced Egypt’s position early on. Secretary of State Blinken’s mantra was, “No forcible displacement” as Gazans were massing at the border and begging to be allowed out.
All of this talk of Palestinian “genocide” would have amounted to nothing had Egypt and the U.S. permitted refugees from Gaza to get out of the war zone which would have also facilitated delivery of humanitarian aid. But that’s not what Egypt or the Biden administration wanted.
I thought Bond was saying to trust him or the whole world was in jeopardy including Q’s cats. That whole exchange between the two characters was funny. Especially the part about bringing the Aston Martin back “in one piece” rather than bringing back “one piece” and then Q laughing at his own joke. Good writing
I’m a Republican and I don’t think 2020 was rigged if you’re taking about the Dems manufacturing fake votes capable of affecting the presidential election. But I think Dems just hand waive the proven concerns Repubs have about election corruption by the Dems and the U.S. intelligence agencies.
Your OP omits the part about top Obama intelligence officers going on national TV in 2016 to call Trump a Russian agent which was completely fabricated. You also omit the part about FBI counterintelligence leaders knowingly trafficking fake Russia collusion evidence about him manufactured and peddled by the Clinton campaign. Your OP also leaves out the part about 51 former intelligence officials lying to voters to influence the 2020 election and help the Dem candidate there as well.
Watergate was a nursery rhyme compared to these events. The Russia collusion fantasy was designed to disenfranchise millions of voters and keep Trump from being elected and having an effective presidency. Your OP wants to exclude this history as if it’s not relevant to the cynicism of Repub voters about the 2020 election. “Rigged” has a much broader definition to Repub voters than the limit you carefully proscribe in your OP.
I don’t know if I will vote for Trump this time around. But I hear Dems say that democracy is on the line in 2024. I think they underestimate that Repubs have the exact same impression and it’s actually founded in fact.

So true. I was actually sad today reading the angry back and forth in GENDIS and seeing more of it here. I actually find things to like about all the characters bickering in these threads and I wonder when they might give each other a break.

The feud was all in good fun. Neither of you ever took it seriously so, I never viewed it as negative. It always reminded me of famous TV sitcom characters ribbing each other. Sam and Diane stuff from Cheers

No it’s not. MovieChat people are pretty reasonable with genuine posters. But this OP was stupid and when people mocked it, he tried to bring up innocent Palestinian children like he was a serious person. Had he started with that, he might have got a reasonable debate. Don’t know why you would even have a problem with this point but whatever.
I’m surprised he went to the rickshaw episode as an example of what the progressives would cancel today. I can think of 3 or 4 others that would guarantee cancellation and probably death threats and studio employees protesting and shutting down production
Especially eye rolling was the opening heist where Travolta’s character steals $100M in exotic cars with his team who spawn out of nowhere behind every guard to knock them out with Mr. Spock karate chops to the trapezius. Then, the writers conveniently explain it by cutting to the sassy female computer hacker (code named, “Link!”) tap tap tapping away at the keyboard with the ability to disable every security system, cut the electricity, open physical doors to facilitate an escape, and monitor unusual aviation assets. Throughout the movie Link! was there to solve any problem with that $500 HP laptop. At some point, audiences will have to ask why the omnipotent computer hacker is never the leader of these B-movie heist gangs considering her ability to solve every inconvenient plot problem.
