Looking through the list of season 1 episodes reminds me that it wasn't until season 2 that this show truly hit its stride -- but there were certainly glorious moments and a handful of great episodes in the first season. 1. My Coffee with Niles 2. Dinner at Eight 3. Space Quest 4. Travels with Martin 5. Author, Author 6. I Hate Frasier Crane 7. The Good Son 8. And the Whimper Is… 9. Frasier Crane’s Day Off 10. You Can’t Tell a Crook by His Cover For the record my pick for the worst of the season would be Call Me Irresponsible, then Fortysomething. I’ve been wanting to watch that one for ages... thanks for the reminder! i agree. She wasn’t as aggressively obnoxious and overbearing as Simon, but she certainly should have been packed off back to Manchester after a few episodes. Wonder Boys and Behind the Candelabra. I thought the first Poppy episode was a classic - she was hilarious. Then they completely altered her character for her second appearance and I found the episode unbearable. I honestly think she was a one-joke character who was superbly used then dropped, not quite fast enough. Honestly, it’s hard to answer your question... some of those guest/recurring characters who showed up and hung around for more than an episode or two tended to outstay their welcome (Simon and Julia, for example). I guess it would have been fun to see Dr. Nora again. Another vote for Sid & Nancy. Prick Up Your Ears is my runner-up. A Cry in the Dark The Grand Budapest Hotel Rushmore The Royal Tenenbaums Moonrise Kingdom The Life Aquatic Fantastic Mr. Fox Isle of Dogs The Darjeeling Limited Bottle Rocket 1. Dangerous Liaisons 2. The World According to Garp 3. Fatal Attraction 4. Jagged Edge 5. The Wife Most of the American films she has been involved with haven’t exactly set the world on fire. While I would certainly love to see Huppert win an Oscar, she should continue choosing interesting projects as she has always done. Her talent and career transcends anything as trivial as awards — but if she lucks into another role that breaks through one day, I’ll certainly be cheering her on.
