Seeing Tony Scott's name reminded me of Unstoppable. Too many cuts and the swinging camera. People are just talking and the camera flies all over the place. Swing to the right, cut cut, swing to the left cut cut cut.

If I remember correctly, the director himself said he tried to make the viewer feel like going to an art gallery. Look at one painting, think about it for a while and then move to the next one. It felt exactly like that. I still don't know what it all meant, just like watching abstract art.
There is a TV pilot for a series based on the book, which is different from the film. More Sci-Fi, less philosophy <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5024734/reference">"Roadside Picnic" (2017)</a>.
