I agree. I think they innovated some stuff with Fury Road, and then found cost cutting measures to replicate that look. I watched the first trailers on my computer and thought whatever. But when the tv spots started, the very same tv I watch Fury Road on (a lot), the difference was startling.
Totally agree. Was talking about this with my sister the other day while watching her favorite movie Sweet Home Alabama. I was like, "oh, he's that guy". You know. That guy that's in stuff but you never know his name. She got upset with me and made me learn his name lol. But this dude really is all the right stuff. Why not more famous? He must not have murder/raped/ate the baby in the Satanic ritual.
IDK. I fear this might actually be the fever dream peak of wokery. Whatever they do, this story ends with Mad Max propping up a completely busted Furiosa at the end of Fury Road. If they make her too magically gifted at killing 300 pound muscle heads, that's not gonna ring so true. I'm really impressed with how much money they're burning promoting this thing. It's everywhere. But that don't mean it's good. Scifi fantasy loves the lady heroes, but you have to do handle it right. Can this movie show a woman kicking ass without her mugging the camera and treating the male audience like a bondage slave? Don't know.

I never understood the need to have our movies, our literal art, to mimic our true lives. And to disregard them if they don't hold up to whimsical evolving standards of acceptable convention. When we hold no other art form to that standard. Get rid of those shitty pyramids! They look nothing like sky scrapers! They're shit!!!
The real problem is this shouldn't have been a Ghostbusters movie. Same movie, same cast, same director, making a zany film about an upstart business with whacky problems: Gold. Making it Ghostbusters made it SHIT.

Beats me. When I was young everybody was pro Israel and anti Palestine. Now it's been flipped 180. Hard to take any of it seriously. Just like them crazy al qaeda. One decade they're the good guys, the next they're the bad guys. There's so much lies and propaganda flying round who knows what's really happening over there.
