R.I.P. I'll always be grateful to him for giving me such a good childhood. Dragon Ball Z was my life when I was a kid. Life has been rough. Complicated. I'm hanging in there though. Good to see you hownos. Hi! I wouldn't say I ever actually left, as such. Never made a conscious decision to leave or anything. Just, life has been difficult and I haven't been online much. But yeah I'm here. Might be some long gaps between me posting but I don't intend to leave permanently. I'm watching Youtube videos right now without any problem. Youtube has been trying to stop ublock, so I guess there have been periods of time where it hasn't worked before ublock gets updated to counter it, but it's working for me right now. It's possible it might stop working entirely, but hopefully not. At this point I'm going to refuse to pay Youtube just out of spite. I really dislike how corporate the internet has been becoming over time, and I feel like a line needs to be drawn in the sand. So hopefully Youtube's efforts to crush ad-blockers will fail. I'd consider it. I don't care for nonsense like "social conservatism". I just have an interest in history and would like to see the world as it was centuries and millennia ago. How people lived. Ancient China, medieval Europe, the Roman Empire and so on. If I managed to fit in well enough and enjoy it, I'd probably stay. Though I might take brief trips back to the future (heh) to enjoy the benefits of things like modern dentistry. Musk is an incompetent moron who's not only destroyed Twitter but also in the process managed to destroy his own ridiculous media-driven personality cult that made him out to be some kind of genius. All he is is an egomaniacal parasite who takes credit for the things actual intelligent people who work for him have done. I don't have a partner, but if I did, this would be an easy choice; quit my job. It's easier to find another job than to find a person you connect well with. And even if you find crappy jobs before you get a good one, that's a lot less painful than going through the heartbreak of failed relationships. If I find someone that I can be happy with and can be happy with me, that's better than any job will ever be. Chips. I can go through a bag of chips easily, but that's just too much ice cream for one sitting. I use ublock origin. I haven't seen an ad on Youtube in years, apart from the advertisements that Youtubers do for their sponsors within their own videos. I just skip over those. Ublock is also doing a great job of getting around Youtube's ban on ad-blockers. I wouldn't. I don't have anything against them as people, but I'm just personally not attracted to anyone who was born male. I wish them the best in their lives though, I know it's difficult. I think all monarchies should be abolished. They're inherently reactionary institutions, including the "constitutional" ones. Out of the few dozen communist governments that existed, the only one that ever actually banned religion was Albania, and that was because the churches and mosques were intricately tied into the old feudal landholding system, not because "tHeY mUsT wOrShIp ThE sTaTe". I don't expect someone imbecilic enough to think leftists drool at the sight of demons "desecrating Christian morality" to understand anything about the complex history and spectrum of leftist opinion on religion (or anything else) though. "and the Leftists would have liked seeing the demon desecrating Christian morality." Lol where do people come up with crap like this? Yeah. Well, the bus came to my house. So all I did was walk from my front door to the bus. Then the bus dropped me off at home after preschool. It was the same for all the other kids on the bus. You sound like a delightful human being. Pro. They're useful. Lots of storage space. It's a very well-known and popular song in Japan, so although I haven't seen any specific examples of it, I wouldn't be surprised if it made it onto some movie soundtracks. Quentin Tarantino has taken a few Japanese songs from the 1970s and thereabouts and used them in some of his movies, but I'm not sure if this is one of them (btw this song was first performed in 1977). I'm generally not very good at translating (I guess because I'm a very literal-minded person, and translation requires some mental flexibility because sentences in different languages rarely correspond to each other exactly). But I'll try to translate this one. It won't be as natural or poetic as it is in Japanese, but hopefully it doesn't turn out too clunky. Btw, Tsugaru Strait is in the north of Japan, between the main island of Honshu and the big northern island of Hokkaido. "Since I stepped off the night train from Ueno Aomori Station is covered in snow In the crowds of people returning north, everyone is quiet The roar of the sea is all I can hear I, too, board the ferry alone Gazing at the seagulls that looked like they were freezing, I cried Aaaa, Tsugaru Strait winter scenery Look, there is Cape Tappi, the tip of the north Someone I don’t know points their finger Although I tried wiping the window glass fogged by my breath All I could see was mist in the distance Goodbye my dear, I’m going back The sound of the wind shakes my chest and I can only cry Aaaa, Tsugaru Strait winter scenery Goodbye my dear, I’m going back The sound of the wind shakes my chest and I can only cry Aaaa, Tsugaru Strait winter scenery” 津軽海峡冬景色 (Winter Scene of Tsugaru Strait) by Ishikawa Sayuri. One of my favorites. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpSFU4C2XEY I'm a very restless sleeper. I toss and turn a lot. In life or in sleep, I just can't ever seem to get comfortable. Summer for me. I love heat and hate cold.
