What do you think happened to Al?

I think Cassie's death would probably be ruled as self defence, but burning her body is still illegal. Would he get any prison time for that? If so, how much?

reply

Al would of been still in trouble, since it appeared that he was pillow choking her way past normal(making it look like he had an instinct to kill within him) Plus with the new found video making him look guilty of rape, would definitely make him get jail time.
Would also think Ryan would loose his job & get 86’d from his pediatric profession if the video was made available to the public

reply

What Al did was definitely self defence. He was still handcuffed to the bed. If he let Cassie go before she died, she would've easily been able to kill him.

You can't get arrested for rape unless the victim presses charges, and Nina obviously couldn't have, because she was dead.

reply

Nina, couldn’t have remembered the rape, since she was unconscious(so Al would of been charged for that alone) Even the lawyer admitted with tampering with the witnesses, but now with him firmly against Al, plus the video tape, plus the witnesses come forth(to save their own skin) Al would of been charged with something.
If he didn’t think he was guilty of rape, then he would of not desposed of Cassandra’s body

reply

I think there's no scenario in which you can be arrested for rape if the victim doesn't press charges.

reply

They disposed of the body so he wouldn't get charged w her murder too or if it was in self defense, manslaughter at the least. Obstructing justice too by destroying the evidence.

Even if he were not charged, the video would have ruined his career and life. He was worried about that as well when he was sobbing to Joe on the bed.

I think in the end she let Ryan off the hook but she knew he would be at the wedding and had conflicting values so she made him sweat a little.

reply

What I wanna know is what happened with Ryan and Joe? Joe just gets away scot free? and Ryan continues being a doctor right?

reply

Without her body and their attempt to hide the evidence, it will be difficult for to argue self-defense.

He would have to take the stand and explain what happened. The other guys too.

reply

Well everyone knew she had motive, and she had no reason to be at the party other than to get revenge on Al. And there would be evidence that she drugged everyone. And her sending evidence to everyone meant she knew she might get killed, so it would be hard to convince a jury that she just went to talk to him. And we can assume she was burned with her surgery tools and handcuffs, which wouldn't melt. And there would be marks on Al's wrists from the handcuffs. And the scheduled texts at the end would further prove she was out for revenge, and knew she may die. And everyone would testify that she pretended to be a stripper, which would prove she didn't just want to talk.

reply

Don’t get me wrong, they have a good defense.

I am just saying it would be stronger if they reported it to the police and didn’t burn her body.
