Does Ethan hang from a rope or line in this movie?

In every movie he hangs from some kind of line:

MI1: The CIA vault
MI2: entering that biolab vent shaft
MI3: swinging from the side of a skyscraper to another and "humpty dumpty sat on a wall" vatican wall climb
MI4: hanging off the burj khalifa
MI5: escaping the opera via a rope on the side of the building
MI6: hanging off a helicopter payload line
MI7: ???

What does he hang from in the new film?

Here he hung holding a reiling inside a train carriage hanging off a cliff.

I guess that could work if you stretch it but he's not tethered to anything like in the others. The parachute is a necessity so he can get to the ground

Well I posted on social media and actually got a response from McQ! He said he wasnt aware of this "perceived rule" for the film and he does not count it as a hard rule in the MI films.

The 3 rules he abides by according to him?

1. Mission Impossible Theme
2. Mask gag
3. Ethan receives a mission

And thats it.

Ethan better drop in on a rope in Alaska to taunt the guy from the CIA vault from the first movie or something!
