I liked this but was bothered by this plotpoint. Spoilers

When Spider-Man 2099 yells at Miles that he should not have been bitten by the spider and that the Spider was from another dimension where another Miles was supposed to be bitten. Oh, and that the Peter Parker in his universe should not have died. This feels like the writers hating on the actual comics Miles came from and just forcing their preferences on the movie. Also they act like he is completely at fault when the freaking antagonist Dr. Owen/The Spot admits he's the one who brought the spider there! It's so annoying how Spider-Man 2099 acts like Miles willingly got himself bitten by the spider when that's not the case at all.

I think they were having a dig at fans shouting that canon must be adhered to, not as egregiously as in other franchises where the writers straight up insult the fans and mess with canon with the sole intent of messing with fans because the writers hate the thing they are writing for, and hate the fans that criticise their poor work.

What a bunch of jerks. It's because of stuff like that we couldn't have Gambit in anything but the crappy Wolverine Origins movie.

Pretty sure he's the ONLY Miles of all multiverses where it's all just variations of Peter, Peter + Gwen for the most part. Remember, he's an anomaly that wasn't suppose to exist as Spider-Man until Owen fiddled with the Multiverse to bring that spider to Earth-1610 from Earth-42.

That's just what I mean though. In the original comics he came from Peter's Spider-Man did die. Them writing it that way just feels like the writers hate that that happened and are using the movie to say it's wrong.
