VERY APT FILM FOR A REMAKE AS THE ORIGINAL IS MEDIOCRE AS ALL HELL.
I though the same until I watched it again recently and quite enjoyed it. And I'm not a fan of slashers. I don't see the need for a remake, since the original holds quite well.
I like the musical phrase from Helen's Theme from the original movie.
