As a person who work with patients with Alzheimer I felt extremely offended

The film shows an elderly woman with Alzheimer like she was possessed by an evil entity or something. Whenever the grandmother showed symptoms of Alzheimer (personality changes, screaming, signs of aggression) the movie played a horror song... like really???
I work with patients with Alzheimer and I deal with this EVERYDAY. It's normal! It's a condition! Not a horror movie!
Show some respect with the people with this disease!

for family members it's certainly not "normal", but tragic if a relative suffers from a condition like alzheimer's. and that's what horror movies are all about, turning human fears and tragedies into scary images.

The film didn't show an elderly woman with Alzheimers "like" she was possessed by an evil entity.
She was possessed by an evil entity! That was the horror, not the Alzheimers - which aroused sympathy and compassion.

reply

the evil entity was simbolic, she had Alzheimer all the way

What about every other disease, virus, illness , ailment or affliction or is it just Alzheimers. Are you offended for all these people as well if shown in a horror movie.

Strange sentiment to have. It is a movie not real life. Nothing in this movie is mocking or insulting anyome with Alzheimers.

Also. So what if your offended, nothing will happen to you.

Don't like it, don't watch it.
