The first Marvel movie so boring I have to fastforward (Spoilers & plot summary in the thread)

I mean they are starting to phone it in.

It is really covering all demographics, even deaf mute, surely the celestial is a progressive. Of course they have genitals because nobody lives forever, wait a minute, they do. I am sure the celestial is interested in building fun parts, and of course the eternals can't breed.

8000 years they are not even bored with their lives, even after seeing people they care about kept dying again and again around them.

Why the celestial even bother to tell them? Why letting the prime to know the truth, to what end?

There is just no depth. Well, Disney cartoon level of depth.

A QUICK PERUSE OF YOUR POSTS SHOWS NEGATIVE THREADS ABOUT ENDGAME,CAPTAIN MARVEL AND BLACK WIDOW...THROW IN THE ETERNALS NOW...YOU MIGHT JUST BE A DICK.🤔

reply

I have given high praises to avenger and infinity wars where credits are due.

The only thing should surprise anyone should be I don't like endgame, all the others are weak films are more commonly acknowledged by general audience. But Eternals is not even in the same league of those weak Marvel films.

So that is not just another weak film (That is the concept you are trying to create, isn't it?), this is the bottom of the pile. I consider it weaker than "The New Mutants".

All Caps? That is more of what a dick usually does.

reply

I respect your opinion. I cant even bring myself to watch it free because it does nothing for me. I dont know the characters and the actors are meh. Not just gonna watch every Marvel story like other people.

reply

It really is not worth the time. I think it is more TV series material, maybe should be made as cartoons.

It is more of an introduction of celestials, which I am sure will appear in future films. If you are still interested in future Marvel films, there is still dying hope in me if Disney is capable of making another good one.

So here is a summary (For anyone does not want to endure this film):

Celestials are giant robot like beings, bigger than planets, exist around the time universe was created, about the time infinity stones came to existence. It's jobs or the obsession is to create universe in it's own design (That part was not in the film I believe is in the comic books). For that they need more celestials, so they seed plants capable of intelligent life. They created eternals as guardians accelerating the growth of civilizations. When the number of intelligent beings reachs the point of "emergence", a new celestial being will be born like chicken from an egg (Earth) and Earth will become shattered pieces in the process. Eternals will be recycled (memory wiped) and used again, except the one prime Eternal in the group, the team leader keeps all the memory, who in this case was a minority woman of course.

Deviants are monsters created by mistake while creating eternals, kill all intelligent life. Most of fights of eternals are with deviants.

The celestial seeded Earth was not happy in the end, but did not do anything about the death of the seed. Only saying he will return to judge the life on Earth whether is worthy (fit their design).

That is about it.

Cool thank you for the summary. What did you think of Shang-Chi? I really enjoyed that.

reply

I think the Shang-Chi movie was average by Marvel standard. The actions scene, the monsters, the special effects were all pretty standard.

My problem is with the hero Shang Chi. I mean his mother was killed, so his father trained him to avenge her, then he could not take it and run away after (or during/before?) the first mission, and in the end he wanted to kill his father for that. Really?!

In his father's eyes he chickened out when his mother was killed (He was a man you see, unlike his sister, even he was just a child), his father trained him so he could redeem himself, and he failed. But his father still forgave him.

In my view his father did all right, Shang Chi's characters were weak. His father should be the one in the avengers.

You see, I like the villain better.

reply

Yeah but the Deviants were not created as a mistake they were created to kill off the apex predators on each planet that was seeded. In this way to ensure that the intelligent life would survive and grow to the point we're the Celestial can use their energy to pop out of the egg which is Earth. And Celestials are not robots. They look strange but they are ancient god like creatures.

reply

Yeah but the Deviants were not created as a mistake they were created to kill off the apex predators on each planet that was seeded.

In the movie it was said so.

reply

The Deviants again were created to kill off apex predators on the different worlds that they were placed on. They became a mistake because they became apex predators. That is why the Celestials created the Eternals to destroy the Deviants so that they could follow that seed plan.

reply

You are right. I either skipped that part or forgot about it.

reply

"All Caps? That is more of what a dick usually does".

He's been doing that for years now. It's his trademark. I'm really surprised you are not familiar with his posts yet.

reply

Dude, you cannot post a negative opinion in a discussion forum. People get hurt by it.

Idk why people can't just say why they disagree with a person. They have to attack what you found negative. Or they have to start calling names. Or cuss. Or use slang. This is why imdb shut their message boards down.

I agree with your thoughts though. Idk if you saw my post, but im quite sick of every movie made needs to have homosexuals in it. Lesbian included. Also it seems like every alien movie has to have the alien develope human emotions

reply

I didn't FF but i watched it doing some other shit ...

reply

I start to think it is basically over for Marvel/Disney, there will still be people watching Marvel movies, but it won't be the same as before.

reply

Wouldn't that happen on every planet a Celestial pops out of?
Arishem: So I know I told you guys one thing but I lied. So you gotta let my relative absorb all the energy and kill everyone on the planet. Anyway I will erase your memories so you won't feel bad.
Eternals: Okay, whatever boss.

reply

Yes it would.

Only the prime Eternal knew the truth, the rest were oblivious. The celestial did not "lie" per se. But why would the prime need to know at all, to me none of them needs to know. They can't stop the emergence if they did not know what was happening, their powers were inconsequential to a new celestial if they did not know what was happening.

reply

Still why did Arishem care about the Eternals feelings? He didn't tell them the whole truth only Ajak. Thena's dementia was caused by not wiping her memories completely. So why wasn't Ajak a lot more screwed up then Thena? She remembered what was going on and still completed those missions.
They didn't show her fall in love or anything so why the guilty conscience now?

reply

It would not have made sense anyway, she did this countless times and millions of years, would have fallen in love more than enough times.
