No woke nonsense, no politically correct BS... just good 'ole sci-fi action

I limit the amount of Hollywood trash I intake and mostly stick with non-French European films, plenty of South Korean flicks, some Hong Kong titles here and there, and Bollywood, of course. I don't watch nearly enough Russian films, but I really should ramp that up because I'm consistently reminded that they don't tolerate woke, politically correct, Liberal Progressive degeneracy.

The Blackout managed to be philosophical, filled to the brim with science fiction action, and even tossed in some budding romance without it being overdone or preachy. In result, we get a masculine, hardcore, badass action film that doesn't pull punches and also doesn't become Left-wing propaganda.

The only romances in this film are hetero (what a relief!) and all the chicks are hot, the male leads all exhibit proper amounts of testosterone, and the conflict that does arise within the "good" guys side is logical and sensible given the circumstances.

We'll probably never get an equivalent movie like this out of Hollywood, but thankfully we have the Russians, South Koreans, and occasionally the Indians to fill in the gap.
