Finale Question

In the midst of all the nonsense at the cave, we cut back to a scene of the D.A. being told by his assistant that another child was found murdered in the woods in a similar manner to Frankie Peterson. He seems upset at later looks at pictures of the murder. We don't hear anything else about it, and it wasn't relevant in any way that I can see to any of the various plots. What was that about?

reply

Yeah. I thought the pix were of Frankie Peterson. He was looking at those videos of Terry in the bus station, too. So I think he was formulating a cover story for reopening the case.

i had no idea about the new murder. i also didn't notice Holly getting scratched, nor have I a clue whom she saw in the mirror at the end tag during the credits.

In the "Making Of" short at the very end, I smiled that two major characters were Brits. They did good Yank accents IMHO.

Overall, it was worth watching for lessons on what to do - and not to do in my own writing. King has some good concepts, but must have assistants doing the "tweening" between the plot points... and the endings.

Who were the Brits?

reply

Ben Mendelsohn (Ralph) is Australian and the guy who played Claude is British, not sure of any others.
