Hardly. Talking about the Death Star is like talking about a major bombing. Blowing up Alderaan is like 9/11 to Cara Dune. To the imperial on that shuttle, blowing up the Death Star was a terrorist attack.

The Death Star(s) is(are) still quite relevant.

I don't think that is what meta means. Talking about The Death Star is like talking about history or current events.
