Interesting episode. Good to see Bill Burr again and he even worked in some of his stand up material I think.

While the episode was a fetch quest again they did show us a side of the average imperial soldier and they are surprisingly human too. I even thought they could relate until our heroes mow them all down again.

Well it couldn’t be helped. But Bill Burr blowing the hell outa them seems a bit much.

Oh no it was perfect. Remember what Valin Hess (the skinny creepy officer confronting them in the mess hall) said how they blew up 5000 imperial soldiers just to defeat some rebels in Operation Cinder? "Entire city gone in moments, everybody in it." "We lost our whole division that day, man it was like 5 to 10,000 people." Mayfield somehow got out. Valin Hess said "It's a small sacrifice for the greater good of the empire." Major critique of our own military there. "They say with the rhydonium you helped deliver we can create havoc that's going to make Burnin Konn pale by comparison."
That's why he did it.

Burr showed surprising amounts of emotion during that scene.

Hess was creepy AF, and Burr completely losing his cool was actually an awesome moment.

Was it a bit too contrived to get them to blow up the Imperial refinery? Absolutely. But I did gain a lot of respect for the Mayfield character in the process.
