This movie criticizes society because the society doesn't understand him and treats him bad, but at the end that very society stands on his side and understands him?

A bit of a dichotomy, isn't it?

No, he thought he was totally alone in being someone society discards and when he killed those wallstreet types others said "good for him" and he realised he actually existed. He by way of inspiration, killed Thomas Wayne as others felt they were the clown also.
