I know she (her character Emily) was supposed to be the "villain" but I was rooting for her to kill both of them and get away with it.

Yeah... it’s hard to call her that when she was only a manipulative murderous psychopath. Her “best friend” and husband had their flaws, sure, but something tells me that these flaws were no reason for them to get killed. Damn you good conscience! Lively’s character deserved to be taken down (yet it looks like she was happy at the end) and it happened in hilarious fashion.
But I agree about Blake Lively. She gave such a convincing and effective performance. Perfect casting.
I thought she was awful, trying too hard.
