Beautiful game

Just finished playing this and though it was short (~ 20 hours), it was an absolute blast!

The main character Amicia is so charming and heroic, you can't help but fall in love with her. This game was more of a mild, survival horror with some stealth & puzzle elements where you evade enemies, rather than an adrenaline ride where you go in guns blazing a la Doom.

Everything was good, from the graphics, to the story, to the game play, to the setting, to the music and the dialogue. The best part of the game was the characters, all of whom were very well written and vocalized. You do feel for each of the good ones and it gets pretty heavy & emotional a few times with some of their deaths.

Played it on my Xbox 1 and got an easy 1000 achievement points along the way.

9/10, highly recommend 👌

I've been playing for about six hours and I'm absolutely loving it. It feels very refreshing that it isn't heavy on the action. I love the pace and overall mood of the game.

Glad to hear man, it never gets boring for a minute and you only end up liking the characters more as the game progresses towards completion.

They're making a sequel to this and I hope it's just as good as this one. Playing Bioshock Infinite at the moment for the first time and it's a gorgeous game that's also very fun. Great time to be a gamer!

It is one of the best games that I've palyed in a long time. I like these type of games much better than open world games. Sequel sounds good!

I've never played the Bioshock games, but I have heard good things.

The voice acting was great!

Agreed

Bioshock is just awesome, all 3 of them are amazing in their own way, with very high production values, excellent game play, graphics, voice acting and story line. You won't be disappointed.

And if you haven't played it, you should also give Alien Isolation a go. I can't say enough good things about that game and I like it even more than A plague tale and Bioshock. It's also survival horror, but a lot spookier and way more tense at times. The atmosphere in that game is just something else and if you are a fan of the Alien series (movies), you should definitely play it - it's one of my top 5 games of all time.

Maybe I'll get to the Bioshock games eventually. There's just so many games to play and not enough time to play them.

I just finished Plague Tale. You know it reminded me a lot of The Last of Us 1 an 2. Those are my favourite games ever.

I'm a huge fan of the Alien movies. I have Alien Isolation on ps4 and it seemed really good, but it was too scary for me, lol. It gave me such anxiety that I just had to stop playing. I do wanna get back to it at some point, but it just freakes me out. I definitely agree that the atmosphere really is something else.

I'm not surprised. I've played it 4 times now and I still hold my breath and have my heart beat super fast at times lol. You should defo play it to completion though, only way to get over your fear is to go through it.

How far did you get? The medical bay part of the game is the worst, and also the part near the end when the lights go out and you have to stumble around in the dark with the damn creature dropping in and out all the time.

Outlast is also similar, but AI is just a way better experience for me. Love the setting and wish we could've seen the Sevastopol station in operation rather than simply as the backdrop for the game.

You're right about that!

I stopped playing when I got to the medical bay. I got stuck there. I was playing in the dark with my headphones on and I was crawling around in the vent. I turned around and suddenly the alien was there. Honestly it was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. I thought that I'd take a little break from playing it but I just haven't been able to get back to, my anxiety gets the best of me lol.

I watched a friend of mine play Outlast, I don't think I could handle that game. I love horror movies but horror games are often too much for me. Like I tried Resident Evil 7 but it was too tense, I was literally sweating sneaking around the house.
