I wasn't a fan of 2014 Gamora and the whole thing going on with her.
I mean, I get she was annoyed that Peter was obsessed with her (since she's not the same Gamora that Quill knew), but damn. She was a bitch, lol. Especially when she slammed Peter against the wall and started screaming at him.
But at the very least, I think it does show how ruthless and cold Gamora was before she met Quill and the others. I mean, she was trained under Thanos of all people.
I think that last bit is what people need to keep in mind.

I don’t remember Original Gamora being this bitchy and cold. Its been a while since I saw first movie. But honestly I feel like she was "good" pretty fast. And Peter didnt even work too hard on that. They just met and next thing you know - she is already Team Member.
Here nothing worked. No matter how much Peter and others tried - she was still cold annoying bitch. I remember sitting in theater and wondered about the difference. If she was "that Gamora" then she would quickly become "good Gamora" like Original one.
It almost felt like writers hate her.
You guys are wrong. The difference between the two Gamoras is that they keep bugging this one about how “she and Peter were so in love together”, “how they used to do this and that” and “oh why she didn’t give him a chance”. This type of pushy, insistent behavior would drive anyone crazy.
And off topic, but they started to be inconsistent with how strong these characters are. In previous movies Nebula and Gamora lifted stuff which probably weighed 10 tons, now they are panting and struggling and getting the wind knocked out of them by simple impacts and stuff.
Marvel and DC have always been inconsistent with regard to powers. When it's convenient for the story they can or can't do certain things.
shareThe difference is old Gamora was trying to escape from Thanos so she had no choice than to work with the rest of the guardians which made her eventually fall for Quill.. This new gamora already has the ravegers and doesn't have to worry about Thanos.
