Does anybody know why they had Henry Thomas play the young dad and Timothy Hutton play the older dad? It was confusing at first as I think that Hutton looks younger than Thomas. There is only 11 years age difference so I didn't think it was necessary to use two different actors.

I liked the first episode. Hope the rest of the season is good.

Could have been done for effect, because he was fundamentally changed after their last night in the house.

It's true, the younger dad was not that younger than the older. But it's for us to understand which part is a flashback.
