Only movie EVER I walked out of

Stupid pretentious movie. Totally no idea what the f*ck was going on. Subtitles are an absolute necessity. The dark fella was miscast. Can't act. Expressionless.

I want to watch a movie to relax after a day of hard work. The movie itself should not be hard work but nolan movies always are and nolan is always doing the same time travel shit in all of his movies. I'd literally rather watch paint dry then watch tenet again (well, half of it anyway, that's when I walked out).

'Indeed. Where I live about every single commercial on the telly involves some mixed couple, and by that I mean a black dude and a white chick. Nothing wrong with that per se but it's never a white dude with a black chick and this whole multiculturalism thing is soooo shoved down our throats, I hate it. And because of sh*t like that I get laid less often because slowly women are getting the impression that unless they are with a black fella there's something wrong with them.'

YOU SIR,ARE AN IDIOT.🙂

Next time you should find out what the movie is about and what critics and other people think. I am not a big Nolan fan(some of his movies are great, while others are meh) but I really liked this one. My least favorite Nolan movie, Interstellar, I kind of knew from what I read, that I wasn't exactly going to like it much...and I didn't. But, I didn't whine and complain about it. I just said, "Yeah, that one was pretty much as I expected". I am never sure why people get so bent out of shape about a movie. Finally, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use the word "pretentious" correctly. People tend to think that if a movie is more than just mere disposable entertainment that it is pretentious, but it is the people who tend to over intellectualize movies or disposable entertainment that are the pretentious ones. Just because you didn't like a challenging movie, doesn't mean it is pretentious. Nolan obviously put a lot of thought into this movie and whether or not you agree with his viewpoint, My problem is that people need to articulate why they don't like a movie, rather than using the word pretentious. Show us why you think that way. The word is now used by people who are dismissive and lazy. Most would get an F for the assignment.

First of all if you know that Chistopher Nolan films are complicated then why did you plop down your hard-earned money from your hard day of work? Watch something like The Croods or The Call of the Wild.

Secondly just because you don't understand the plotline of a complex film doesn't mean it's a terrible movie. Christopher Nolan is one of the most intelligent directors in all of cinema right now, and I personally love his movies BECAUSE of his complex and different stories. Memento and Inception were brilliant films. I don't understand all of the hate this guy gets. Is it because his films are too complicated for you people to sit through or is it because he's just smarter than you? Is this some kind of inferiority thing?

Thirdly there are so many different alternatives to watching a movie in a theatre now, especially with Covid locking everyone inside their homes. Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon. There's TONS of stuff to watch. Why do you go to a theatre where you can't just turn off something you don't like or change the channel?

Advice: if you want to enjoy a movie without thinking, DON'T GO SEE A CHRISTOPHER NOLAN FILM!

Damn, you are dumb! You didn't even read the thread, did you? Otherwise you would have come across the part where I explain that friends invited me to 'some action movie', without making it clear it was going to be another nolan trainwreck.

So first of all I didn't plot down any hard-earned money, silly friends did.

Secondly, you perfectly prove the point I've been making: emphasizing that nolan is oh so intelligent. You ONLY do this so that people get the impression you must be very intelligent as well, being able to understand the complex storyline. Shall we all bow down to you and clap our hands? nolan makes deliberately difficult movies; he takes something that could be told in a simple way and butchers it long enough until it's utter garbage, that will be his next 'masterpiece'.

You don't do a jig-saw puzzle if all you want is to see the final result! nolan takes picture and turns it into a jig-saw puzzle to frustrate the viewers. So that they think he's clever. He's not.

Memento was a borefest. Inception was stupid as fuck. And a borefest. And in ALL his movies he uses the same tricks; the constant back and forth in time or between reality and virtuality. Like a monkey that learned 1 trick and keeps repeating it over and over.

But the biggest problem with tenet is that nolan made this trainwreck even worse by having inaudible dialogue so you really haven't a clue what's going on, the soundtrack is deafening. Then there's the black fella (the non-actor that is Denzel's son) with the big black beard making his entire head 1 big black blob, which is unpleasant to look at but also rules out any potential lipreading to get any kind of idea what they're saying.

I don't want netfucks, hulu, disney-, amazon, all promoters of left wing drivel and political correctness. No, long live torrents and usenet. They're not getting my money. And I've already explained why I was at the cinema.

Advice: READ THE FUCKING THREAD BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!
