Maybe I missed something, but who left the water on when it flooded their cellar? I know Evelyn was doing chores around the house but they never established that she left the faucet on. Secondly, how could Lee not hear the water flowing, after all they've been through?
A couple of nitpicks, but otherwise a great movie.
It was from a broken pipe , not sure when it was broken though.

shareThey could have had a water tower in the farm. These are still used sometimes. They also had electricity, so water pumped from a well is very much possible.
